THE APPEAL
We all know the Morris Minor, which is widely recognised as one of the great British motoring icons whose production spanned over 24 years. Available in several body styles ranging from the two-door saloon, four-door saloon, pick-up, panel van, traveller (wooden rear frame) and this particular model we have here, the Morris Minor 1000 convertible.
This factory-built 1960 Minor convertible has been extensively renovated at some time with little use for many years. It has been with the vendor since 2020, where he has spent a considerable amount of time and money recommissioning the car with many new parts to ensure it is running as well as it should be. The plan was to keep the vehicle for another few years, hence the level of recommissioning, but due to downsizing the collection, the Morris is one of the cars which has unfortunately drawn the short straw to go. However, this means that it’s a fantastic opportunity for a new enthusiast to become the custodian of a British icon.
