The Appeal
Very little is known about this Land Rover series 1 as it doesn’t come with a great deal of paperwork to give any insight into the kind of life it’s led. What one can be certain of though is that these workhorses were built to last, and for a vehicle approaching 70 years of age, this one certainly looks in fine fettle.
At some point in its recent past, it’s believed to have been subject to a restoration and been fitted with a V8 engine making this one very capable machine. Importantly though, it still has bags of character and a wonderful patina that ensures it should generate lots of bidding interest.

The Summary
The fact these are still seen around is testament to their durability and suitability to so many jobs. It may not come with a ream of paperwork, but while this might be a cause for concern with many other vehicles, it’s unlikely to cause any concern with those that know their Land Rovers. With the useful upgraded V8 engine, this is one vehicle that is willing to perform the toughest of tasks, and with its sympathetic light restoration, it looks fantastic too.
