The Background
Founded in 1873, Laverda started out making farm machinery, only turning to motorcycle manufacture in the immediate aftermath of WW2.
Its first product, the 75cc four-stroke Motoleggera (lightweight motorcycle), helped meet the unprecedented upsurge in demand for basic motorised transport, and modified versions were soon winning their class in the long-distance road races popular at the time.
A four-speed model, this Laverda 75 Corsa Sport was a lightweight machine with a peppy engine that won a number of races.

The Laverda Corsa 75 Sport is basically, a factory built custom racer.
It is thought that Laverda only made 10-15 race bikes of this type, this bike is believed to have been raced in both short & long course races in Italy.

The Appeal
The Laverda Corsa 75 sport is a lightweight factory built racer with racing tweaks. The 75CC may not rip your face off but youd be surprised just how spritely it is due to the overall weight.
It was successful in a number of different Italian Race meetings and then theres its trump card, I mean look at it.
This particular bike has been well kept, and to be admired as part of a collection, and it's easy to see why, it's stunning! But that’s not to say it couldn’t be used, proof of that was that it was ready to make 1000 km for the Milano -Taranto (cancelled due to the pandemic), meaning it's not just for looks, it's ready to hit the road!
In this condition it would be an absolute pleasure to own this piece of classic Italian motorbike history.
