Highlights
- Sharp ‘Razor Edge’ styling
- A very rare model
- Lovely condition
The Appeal
The Triumph Renown is a fantastic homage to the modernist design philosophy of the 1950s. Its ‘Razor Edge’ styling gives it something on an Art Deco aesthetic which is a rare sight indeed. And with fewer than 3,000 Renowns having come out of the Triumph factory, it certainly is an unusual sight on the road today.
This car is in good all round condition, with good paint, a nice two-tone vinyl interior and nicely polished veneers. It is said to have received extensive mechanical attention from its previous owner and has benefitted from a recent brake system overhaul.
Having previously been used as a wedding car, this Triumph could happily be pressed into this type of service again. Or it could equally just be enjoyed for what it is: a lovely meander down a quiet backwater of our motoring history.

Summary
There’s something indefinably endearing about this Triumph Renown. Its Razor Edge styling is brilliantly avant grade and yet the dark wooden dashboard is comfortingly traditional. It is a car with personality, a trait which we're enduringly fond of.
