THE APPEAL

On the 24th March 2022, this charming Morris Oxford Tourer reached the grand old age of 100. Produced in 1922, the Morris Oxford was an addition to the two-seater Oxford Bullnose which had been around since 1913. The tourer was released in 1919, and it retained the famous Bullnose radiator grille but was made on a long wheelbase chassis, ideally suited to the larger family, capable of carrying five passengers.

The vendor's late father has owned the Morris for over 40 years. Throughout those years, the car has been well maintained and kept in a very usable and roadworthy condition. Recently, after coming out of storage, it has been given a light recommissioning by Majestic classic car specialists who have carried out work to the engine and braking system to make sure it runs and stops as well as it should.

This is the perfect way to step into vintage-era motoring. The Morris, which has had some restoration over the years, has been enthusiast owned which has ensured it hasn’t fallen into a state of disrepair; instead, it is a very usable vintage motor vehicle ready to turn heads wherever you go.

SUMMARY

This is a fantastic example of early 1920s motoring. Perfectly suited to anyone wanting to add such a vehicle to a collection or to be used at vintage events. The best thing is it’s ready to go, prepared for use, starts on the button and is quite capable of being driven.
Maybe even a new business venture could arise from owning the Morris; weddings, promotional events, or film props, the possibilities are there.
