The Honda Cub 90 really needs no introduction. With over 100 million sold since they were introduced in 1958, they have become the world’s bestselling vehicle. The reasons are simple, they were cheap to own, and you could maneuver around town in almost any gear thanks to their torquey little 85cc engine. Granted, it’s not the quickest bike around, but they provided ample power and a top speed of 55mph, moreover, their simple mechanics meant they could be worked on by even the most amateur enthusiast.
This example here is has done just 570 miles in its life and its condition reflects it. With a recent service, it now starts on the button and rides just as it should. GREmerSQzabzd5UGCXzEsCBXprFJeKDNBezUFlSm.jpg395.6 KB
HISTORY AND PAPERWORK
First registered in 1998
Originally purchased to learn the ‘Knowledge’ of London roads in pursuit of a career as a London cabbie, the original owners plans changed and it was put into a storage container where it stayed until his passing some 20 years later
The second owner, who received it via probate, had it MOT’d twice but having never used it, it went back into storage
Despite their popularity there can’t be many of this age in such fantastic condition. This would suit anyone that’s looking for an everyday commuter bike with a retro feel, but equally would make a great addition to any motorbike collection.
