The Ariel Hunter has been around since the 1930s, with various engines fitted over the years and constant improvements made; the last model produced was in 1954, the NH version. The engine size had been dropped from a 500cc to a 350cc with an aluminium cylinder head. There were also full-width alloy wheel hubs fitted in 1956 as a final improvement.
This lovely example started life overseas and was imported to the UK in 1997, when it is thought to have been given a complete restoration which the vendor reports has been carried out to a very high standard. The Ariel has been with the vendor for two years, and although he says it is a lovely bike to ride with no issues, the problem he does have is kickstarting the single-cylinder 350cc engine, which is the reason for the sale of this British classic.
