The 1066 Cruisers Hot Rod and Custom Car Club was formed in 1996 and goes from strength to strength with each year that passes. Current member numbers now stand at around 40, but we are always looking for new members. Each member brings with them a wealth of skills and knowledge from engineering to body finishing or maybe just excellent socialising or organisational skills, whatever it may be, every member is valued and respected.
At the AGM each year, a deserving cause is chosen to receive any money surplus to the club's requirements. This amount is growing steadily year on year, at the end of the year 97-98 we provided two colour portable TVs for the children in Kipling Ward, 98-99 we were able to purchase a £500 Apneo monitor for the baby unit of the Conquest Hospital, Hastings. 1999-2000 we gave the children a treat at Christmas with a visit from Santa, and funded the purchase of a syringe driver. 2000-2001 we purchased more desperately needed equipment, and in 2002 The Kipling Ward is again the chosen recipient of any surplus funds this year, so please lend your support at our main fund raising Midsummer Picnic!
Our Aims
To further the interest in custom street cars, in particular "flat screen V8's. But we have a wide variety of cars and characters in the club, all are welcome with the exception of 'hot hatch, tyre burning boom boxes' We have fun with our cars and our events, and raise money for good causes in the process.
