Founded in February 1986, Club Marcos International is the totally independent club for Marcos enthusiasts.
Club Objectives
The purpose of the Club is to provide a social network for members to share their enthusiasm for the Marcos marque, and for those fortunate enough to own a Marcos to make ownership even more enjoyable. However, you definitely do not need to own a Marcos to enjoy the benefits of membership.
The quarterly magazine keeps members informed of the many Club activities and members are encouraged to contribute any article of technical or general interest for publication, or simply a favourite photograph of their car. The magazine also lists 'For Sale' and 'Wanted' advertisments, together with a limited number of commercial adverts of interest to members.
Social activities are included in a full calendar of events suitable for all the family. These range from lunch time and evening pub meetings, to skittles evenings, to local shows (where members can show off their cars!), or just to meet up with other enthusiasts. There are also Club entries at the many national and regional car events throughout the UK.
The Club holds an Annual International Rally and Concours d'Elegance competition over a summer weekend. The Rally weekend is usually arranged around a race meeting at a UK circuit. On the Saturday a non-motoring activity is normally arranged as an alternative to the strictly Marcos centred activities on the Sunday. Dinner on the Saturday evening provides an opportunity to make new friends and meet old acquaintences while the Concours d'Elegance on the Sunday allows members to show off their own cars and marvel at others!
However, it is not just the pampered cars that win the trophies - there are prizes for the best engineering modification and an originality prize for pre-1972 cars.
The Club offers a wide range of mail order regalia, including sweatshirts, polo shirts, T-shirts, baseball caps etc., all with a choice of the Club or the Marcos logo. We also stock Marcos books, various Marcos models, magazine binders, boot and bonnet badges, key-rings, road wheel centres, tax disc holders, etc. See the Regalia page for details.
We advertise a variety of insurance companies whose financial contribution to Club funds means more scope for continuing improvement to member services.
Manangement of the Club is undertaken by an unpaid volunteer committee, elected by the members - details of the current committee is available in the Committee section.
As a Club we work closely with Marcos Heritage to offer you the services to help you keep your Marcos on the road, advise on future purchases and generally encourage and support Marcos enthusiasts everwhere.
We hope there is something of interest to everyone.
Membership is open to everyone, whether you own a Marcos or not. The annual subscription is £20. To join download the Application Form, complete it and send it to the Membership Secretary (address on the Application Form).
