Here we have for sale our stunning limited edition Ducati 999R. Our UK, One owner example is a rare factory upgraded series 2 edition and is number #068 of the limited run of examples produced. Its has covered just 3, 425 miles from new and is unique by virtue of the fact it fitted with various upgrades including the full 54mm Termignoni race exhaust system fitted with the "Banana" header pipes, it also has after market traction control fitted (ahead of its time for that era) and various carbon upgrades.
It contains the higher powered 150bhp engine as fitted standard in the 999 Xerox. The package also includes 3 keys and the book pack with service book, paddock stand and bike cover. The bike will receive a full belt service and fresh MOT prior to sale.
The 999R superseded the Massimo Tamburini designed Ducati 916, 996 & 998 range of superbikes in 2003 and was produced through to 2006. This bike enjoyed great success in World Superbike and was raced in the series through the 2007 season. The 999R was designed by Pierre Terblanche amid much controversy over its styling, despite this it is still known as an extremely high performance race orientated motorcycle. With its traditional Ducati twin desmodromic valve actuated engine layout it has a linear power delivery with high power and torque figures available even at low RPM. Additionally with its high spec suspension and trellis chassis, its one of the finest handling motorcycles of its time.
