With the current owner for some thirty years, 8812 WJ will be provided with a comprehensive portfolio of service history, dating way back to 1984. The service history reveals regular and significant attention being offered to both cosmetic and mechanical requirements with, invariably, marque-recognised experts being entrusted with the undertaking.
During the period 1987 to 1993, the vehicle was treated to a complete engine rebuild and a full structural restoration with invoices on file totalling £16300 (equivalent to a whopping £39500 today) with much of the work undertaken by East Anglian specialists, MG Mecca.

So, whilst now, of course, being classed as an older restoration, 8812 WJ still presents very well, both structurally and mechanically with just a little patination to the painted surfaces and chromework. Usable fun and ready for the forthcoming season.
