Derek and Dom Rickman started producing their own frames in 1959 following successful racing careers
Better known for off-road bikes, they also built road-going race replicas with Honda CB750, Kawasaki Z900 and Z1 engines
The Rickman-framed machines were known for handling better than the factory originals
This late CR-Z1 (café racer) example is presented in very original and good overall condition
Fitted with the Kawasaki Z1000 1015cc engine and correct Mikuni VM33 carburettors
Originally supplied to Knott Mill Kawasaki in Salford in September 1980
Correct nickel-plated frame and swing arm, AP Lockheed calipers and master cylinder, Betor front forks, cast alloy wheels, Hagen rear shocks and Harris works exhaust system
Recent work includes a carburettor overhaul with new floats and jets
Showing 9, 500 miles and complete with correct keys
In good running order and UK-registered on a current V5C
