There are few automotive experiences that blend grand touring elegance with operatic drama quite like the Maserati GranCabrio. This 2016 example, finished in the deep metallic sheen of Grigio Granito with a Nero soft top, is no exception.
The sculpted 4. 7-litre V8, breathing freely without turbochargers, delivers a stirring 460PS, channelling its voice through one of the finest soundtracks in the business. Inside, you’re enveloped by a full Alcantara package, detailed with Grigio Ghiaccio contrast stitching, while the Interior Carbon Evolution trim adds a purposeful edge. Optional 20-inch Neptune alloys in Grigio Mercury complete the picture — elegant, athletic, and unmistakably Italian.
With just under 32, 000 miles covered, this GranCabrio presents with a recent service receipt (January 2025 - totalling £880) and will also come with a fresh 12 month MOT. Our comprehensive inspection notes minor age-related blemishes as expected, though the car retains its originality and unmistakable road presence. First registered in September 2016, it remains a compelling and authentic expression of open-air GT motoring.
A rare chance to acquire one of the last naturally aspirated V8 cabriolets of its kind — equal parts long-distance cruiser and theatre on wheels.
Model History
Introduced in 2010, the Maserati GranCabrio extended the allure of the GranTurismo by offering a full four-seat convertible experience—a rarity in the grand touring segment. Designed by Pininfarina, the GranCabrio seamlessly blended Maserati’s rich heritage with contemporary aesthetics, resulting in a vehicle that exudes both elegance and dynamism.
At the heart of the GranCabrio lies the naturally aspirated 4. 7-litre V8 engine, developed in collaboration with Ferrari. This powerplant delivers an exhilarating 460PS, accompanied by a sonorous exhaust note that has become a hallmark of Maserati’s performance pedigree. The “Sport” variant, introduced in 2011, further enhanced the driving experience with sharper gearshifts from the ZF automatic transmission, revised suspension tuning for improved handling, and subtle cosmetic updates, including darkened headlamp housings and bespoke trim details.
While contemporaries pursued outright speed, the GranCabrio prioritised an indulgent sense of occasion, offering a harmonious balance between performance and luxury. As Maserati transitioned towards turbocharged engines and smaller-capacity drivetrains, the GranCabrio Sport now stands as one of the last truly analogue expressions of the brand’s golden-era DNA — charismatic, sonorous, and timelessly styled.
