KNOWN HISTORY :-
The history shows this car was sold to VAR member and true Austin enthusiast Tony Smallbone at one point more recently than as follows: - I have 2 letters on file from 2 previous owners - a Ray Matthews who bought this car from a Roy Martin on 28th November 1970, a letter from Dale Blockley on 5th August 1991 in Cornwall who owned this car in 1960 and was writing on this day to a Mr Neal who had sent him a photo of this car. Mr Blockley stated that this car was originally black, and that a John Raine had owned this car. He goes on to state that Bob Wyatt unearthed this car - possibly with John Raine, Raine selling this car to a Brian McDonnell - and it was from Brian that Dale Blockley bought this car. He sold it back to Brian McDonnell who sold it to Clive Stenning and then on to Alan McKay. At that point Dale lost track of the car in 1969/ 70. He then retraced the car to Ray Matthews, and offered to buy it back but he did not wish to sell it. So lots of previous owners mentioned on file...
