Description
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, Timed Online Auction - 10th April on Thursday the 10th of April. Background:
The Hilux began production in March 1968 and needs no introduction among car enthusiasts as one of the most rugged and indestructible trucks you can buy, not to mention the coolest. Immortalised as Marty McFly’s daily driver in Back to the Future and again by Top Gear, where they failed to test a Hilux to destruction, only to discover that they really can’t be killed.
The Car:
This cracking 2001 Toyota Hilux was initially registered by the vendor's father and transferred to his son when it was just three months old, meaning it has been owned and driven by only one family from new.
Lovingly maintained, it has covered just 51, 000 miles from new, as backed up by the MOT history. The chassis has never been welded, and only a tiny repair on one sill accounts for welding work to the body.
The servicing was primarily carried out by the present keeper, although the record does include five or six stamps from dealers. The most recent oil and filter change was carried out in August last year.
It drives beautifully and wants for nothing, with a long MOT valid until 04/ 10/ 2025. This is not a VAT-qualifying car and neither includes VAT nor will VAT be added to the price, making it ideal for a private buyer.
