Triumph Herald 1200 1969. Starts and drives. In ok condition but far from perfect. Good points: Has some good chrome work with new overrides front and rear plus new chrome wheel caps. Fitted with Triumph Vitesse bumper covers (these are very hard to find these days) which are in good condition and look much better than a Heralds white rubber bumper types. Wooden dash board in good condition. New transmission cover fitted plus full sound proofing kit. New battery with alternator upgrade. Front brake disc conversion and spin on oil filter upgrade. Electronic ignition kit Fitted. All tyres in very good condition. Bad points: Some paint bubbles around windscreen etc plus paint work around vehicle isn't perfect. Drivers seat has some small splits. Slight movement in track rod end and needs replacing soon. A few oil leaks from engine.
Three options I kinda see for this car. Opinion 1: As its got a lot of good parts (plus some new) then it's broken up for spares for someone that's already got a project car on the scene however I must admit it's a shame to take another old Triumph off the road.
Opinion 2: It gets used as a rolling restoration and repaired as and when required.
Opinion 3: It's stripped back down to the chassis and rebuilt from the ground up to a show car type thing.
Overall not a bad little car which starts and drives however as it's not been used in a while then I would recommend it be took away on a low loader or trailer.
