Description
Arriving mid-April at The Garage!
1932 Riley 9 Drophead Coupe
One of the rarest versions of the Riley Nine, the Drophead Coupe was furnished to a higher standard the the lower priced two-seater tourer. The Drophead Coupe had the advantage of winding windows and was particularly cosy when fully enclosed with its quality hood raised.
This 1932 example was the subject of a comprehensive restoration to concours winning standard and was completed during 2008, when it was to win the Tours Grand Prix Retro concours that year.
During the present ownership since 2011, the car has been meticulously maintained by its engineer owner and has covered some 20, 000 miles on the Continent, visiting the Pyrenees, Paris, Brittany as well as attending Le Mans Classic and Angouleme from the owner’s home in the Loire Valley.
Now back home in the UK, this charming Riley is eager for her new chapter to begin.
More photographs and a video will be updated when she arrives.
