1996 MG RV8 3900cc V8 petrol CAR
Reg. No. N11 MGR
Chassis No. SARRAWBMBMG001858
N11 MGR was originally supplied to Japan, and therefore benefits from factory fitted air conditioning as well as an aftermarket electric power-assisted steering kit which is stated to make the steering extremely light and comfortable. Showing just over 31, 000 miles, it appears to be a good honest example with some light cosmetic recommissioning required in the cabin. The RV8 started, ran and drove well at the time of inspection and is reported to be great fun to drive, even by modern day standards. Unfortunately, this MG was subject to a category D insurance loss in 2003, it is reported the damage was mainly on the front driver's side wing and front grille. However, since then, the repairs have been carried out and has since passed all MOT's without advisories.
The RV8 is recognised as a significant step during the return of MG in the 1990s. With much of the manufacturers time now focused on saloon and hatchback production, the RV8 really stood out to MG enthusiasts who all craved a new roadster. The clever use of the Range Rover 3. 9L V8 engine, proven five-speed gearbox, and MGB bodyshell meant it's production was relatively straightforward. Most RV8's were sold in Japan, but due to the large duty imposed, many of them have been imported back into the UK.
Offered for sale with V5C and history file including MOT's and invoices etc.
Estimate: £10, 000 - £12, 000
