This Norton Atlas was first registered in the UK and then exported to Guernsey in 1991. It comes with a Guernsey Registration Certificate for '16041' and its original V5 registration document for 'BUA 53C'. It should be noted that Vehicle Registration Number 'BUA 53C' is associated with a 1991 'Export' marker in the HPI/ DVLA database. Accordingly, prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves with regard to the validity and status of this motorcycle's registration prior to bidding. The successful purchaser is responsible for applying to the DVLA to retrieve the vehicle's registration number.
This matching numbers Atlas benefits from long term ownership and has been used lightly in recent years and remains in believed unmolested and original condition. Included in the documentation is a photograph of its delivery when new to the first owner in May 1965. The original receipt from supplying dealer Watson Cairns is also on file together with some correspondence between the original owner and the vendor. Watson Cairns' supplier's decal is still on the tank.
Other documents include the previous-owner V5; photocopy new keeper slip (1991); expired MoT (1992); photographs of previous owners; permanent export certificate; DVLA paperwork; marque related literature; and a quantity of invoices. The Atlas currently displays a total of 36, 252 miles on the odometer (at the time of cataloguing/ photography) and has been dry stored when not in use. Offered with steering lock keys.
