LOTUS ELAN S3 FHC SPECIAL EQUIPMENT 1967 IN RARE FACTORY 'GLACIER BLUE' VGC.***** DEPOSIT TAKEN*****
Recently out of long-term collector's collection this very rare Elan. Much recommissioning work carried out as the car has not been used for sometime. The restoration work started in about 2005 and the majority of the work including a new Lotus galvanised chassis was done by well known Lotus experts, Ken & Neil Myers.
We believe the metallic paint was a factory order as this was the only colour on top of the gel coat from new (no other colours seen). We also note this is the same colour used on the TV series, The Avengers which was a current TV programme at the time.
The whole car has been sympathetically refurbished at the time and we have recently carried out re-commissioning which included a full rebuild of the gearbox and rebuild and tuning of the carburettors and a general full check over. The car has all the Special Equipment features - leatherbound steering wheel, Special Equipment engine, chrome wheel embellishers, stainless sill stripes and badging. Very original with matching engine number etc. Three owner car, massive history file. Tax and MOT exempt. Lovely car and excellent value.
