1977 Triumph 744cc T140V Bonneville Silver Jubilee Limited edition

In 1977 Triumph introduced a special, limited edition Bonneville to celebrate HM Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee. This was basically the standard T140V Bonnie enhanced by a red, white and blue on silver finish; coach-lined cycle parts; and a chromed timing cover and primary chain case. Originally the plan was to manufacture 1, 000 units for the UK market, but such was the demand that a further 1, 000 were built for North America and another 400 or so for export elsewhere.
The limited edition Triumph Bonneville T140V Silver Jubilee offered here is one of the 1, 000 UK models. Our vendor purchased the Triumph in June 2012. That same year a Boyer Micro Power Ignition was fitted, while in 2013 the engine was rebuilt with new pistons, valves, and valve guides. In 2018 the carburettors were rebuilt, new brake discs fitted, and the master and rear brake cylinders rebuilt. In 2019 the Bonneville was given a full service by a Meriden-Triumph expert and put in full running order. Since the service the machine has been dry stored and not used. Recommissioning will be required before it returns to the road. The current odometer reading is 14, 658 miles. Accompanying documents include a V5C Registration Certificate; Silver Jubilee Limited Edition Certificate; and the last MoT certificate (expired 2013). The Bonnie also comes with two ignition keys and two steering lock keys.
