Special and rare specimens we often have in our house, including this Daimler Double Six from the XJ40 series.
The 6. 0 is the most reliable and user-friendly v12 produced by Jaguar.
Not only the execution, color combination and quality are special, but certainly also the fact that the car comes from the 2nd owner.
The first was an older Belgian couple. When the lady of the house became alone in 1998, she decided to keep the car and not drive it anymore. When she passed her 90s, she decided to part with the Daimler anyway and cleared out the barn. The first Dutch owner also only used the car on a limited basis in recent years, putting the technology back in order.
State of the car:
Very nice and tight specimen. You can see from everything that this is a Daimler with very few miles behind it.
Beautiful condition of the paint and the leather has been preserved very nicely.
Driving:
Jaguar's 6. 0 liter is indeed one of the most refined and very powerful engines ever produced by the English manufacturer. Just consider that we are talking about the 90s here. You also really feel lord and master with the Daimler when you are on the road. Fast? Yes, of course, only that's not really all that important; it's more that wonderfully smooth torque that the car has.
Just a beautiful and very nice driving specimen.
Chances are that this may well become a car that will earn its money back handsomely in a few years.
