EXTERIOR
With inspiration drawn from the original Porsche Spyder, this early manual Boxster S looks fantastic in timeless Arctic Silver. In the hands of only 3 clearly very careful owners this one has driven a mere 24k miles from new, and just as you’d expect for the mileage the condition is excellent. At the front end the headlights are crystal-clear with no haziness or discolouration, and she’s arrow-straight along both sides. The 17-inch Carrera wheels remain in perfect condition and the PZero tyres have ample tread remaining. At the rear of the car, the taillights are pristine and the bumper is unmarked. The underside is also notably fresh.
INTERIOR
The Boxster Red interior looks fantastic against the silver paintwork. Having never been left outside to bake in the sun the leather remains feeling supple, and other than a few expected wrinkles on the driver’s outer bolster, it’s pretty much unmarked. The attractive terracotta hue extends from the seats to the door cards, across the dash and into the footwells where the carpets are still protected by the original Porsche mats. The factory CD player is pleasingly still fitted and everything works as it should, including the electric soft-top that folds away neatly in a swift 12 seconds. In line with the low mileage both the steering wheel and gear knob are very well presented with an excellent grain to the leather.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 986 Boxster S is equipped with a 3. 2-litre flat-six which in this example is paired with the desirable manual gearbox option. The car’s mid-engine layout provides a low center of gravity, near-perfect weight distribution, and neutral handling. Despite the low mileage the accompanying paperwork details a good level of maintenance. The last three services were carried out at Porsche, most recently in March 2025, and in 2016 the car was treated to the all-important IMS bearing upgrade along with a new rear main seal (RMS) and clutch.
HISTORY FILE
This lovely manual Boxster S was supplied new to its first keeper in July 2001. The car remained under the same ownership for the next fifteen years, covering only 23k miles during that time. Since then, it has been driven sparingly in the hands of just two additional owners, and it’s now offered for sale with a mere 24, 810 miles under its belt. The car is ULEZ-compliant, and the advisory-free MOT is valid until March 2026. The service history is as follows:
