We're delighted to present this remarkable 2003 Suzuki SV650S - cherished by a single owner for the last 23 years, and showing just 6690 verified miles. It goes without saying that the bike is in fabulous original condition, and is in our opinion likely to be the very best example currently available in the UK.
Unmodified, single owner SVs like this are nigh on unrepeatable. In fact we've only ever seen one other in the last 5 years. The vast majority are usually in poor condition, having been enjoyed to within an inch of their lives. And for understandable reasons.
The little SV is a true people's champion of a motorcycle, and surely one of the most influential bikes of the early 2000s.
No one - not even Suzuki - would have believed that it would find favour with so many riders, and go on to fill club racing grids and even tackle the TT. It's comfortable proportions, easy handling and characterful twin earning it immediate affection from pretty much anyone who took to the saddle.
Whilst more exclusive machines might hog the modern classic limelight, the SV650 has earned its place amongst the greats. A properly rewarding motorcycle, for riders of all abilities and circumstances.
And this particular bike? Well we think it's pretty special.
Delivered to the original owner in January 2003 by Powersport Suzuki of Bradford, it has been meticulously cared for since day one. Boasting a full service history, backed up by every single receipt and all original documentation, the bike is as genuine as it gets.
Mechanically, it is in superb order, suffering none of the issues common to carbed bikes (particularly Suzukis) of the period. We can confirm it starts, runs and rides beautifully - every bit the middleweight Swiss army knife. As part of our pre-sale prep, we have refreshed all fluids and filters, alongside a handful of other small tasks to ensure the bike remains ready to ride, if the new owner wishes to do so.
Cosmetically, it is just stunning. No chips, scratches or damage to report. Resplendent in its original Pearl Lively Yellow, it looks like it was delivered yesterday. Pleasingly, all original stickers are still on the bike, adding to the 'just unboxed' feeling.
In summary, an extremely rare example of an important modern classic. Add it to your collection today, I think we'll struggle to find another.
