Description
Triumph GT6 MK1 1967 - National Origin , the perfect combination of British elegance and sporting spirit. Produced between 1966 and 1973, this coupé became known as the ‘mini Jaguar E-Type’ thanks to its striking design and astonishing performance. Designed by the famous Giovanni Micheloti, it had a fastback body with surprising lines for the time, which improved its stability, efficiency and elegance. Details of a refined interior finished in noble and modern materials, combined with sports seats . Most Triumph GT6 Mk1 LHDs were exported to the United States, but a smaller quantity was sent to other left-hand drive countries in Europe, such as France, Germany, Holland and Belgium . The European LHD version is even rarer than the American one, with some important differences . European version: Maintained the original British configuration, equipped with SU HS6 carburettors and similar performance to the UK RHD model. - American version: underwent some changes to comply with US regulations, including Stromberg carburettors and, in some cases, adjustments to emissions that slightly reduced power. It is estimated that fewer than 1, 500 units were produced for the European market, making this version extremely rare today. Under the bonnet hides a 2. 0L 6-cylinder engine, offering an immersive driving experience and an unmistakable sound. With rear-wheel drive, a refined suspension and reduced weight, the GT6 provides an agile and exciting drive, perfect for those who appreciate a true classic sports car. It is certified as a Car of Historic Interest by the ACP.
