Datsun ZX280 V8 Street Racer
Built in America as a street racer and has been fitted with a powerful Chevy 5. 7 V8 engine, automatic transmission, Ford 9" rear lock and disc brakes at front and rear.
It has been painted bright white and professionally taped with the Bop Sharp Racing Datsun race livery/ sponsors/ numbers, which legendary film star Paul Newman raced with in 1979 in the SCCA National C-production class in a ZX280 Datsun.
The rear wheel housings have been enlarged, and the rear frame has been narrowed to accommodate the large tires.
Inside there is a roll cage and two bucket seats, the trunk is lined with removable aluminium panels and fitted with a race tank and plug batteries.
It is rust-free and fully road worthy. In 2024 it was inspected (MOT/ TUV) here in Finland and issued with road number plates, so can be legally driven on the roads.
