Description
The Chesil Motor Company was launched by Peter Bailey in 1991 in Burton Bradstock, near Chesil Beach in Dorset and he began producing Porsche 356 replicas and kits based on a Volkswagen Beetle. The company was sold in 2004 and just called Chesil between 2004 & 2007 but in late 2007 it was sold to the Tygan Motor Company. This takeover however was also short-lived and it was reacquired by Peter Bailey in 2009 and he started operating again as the Chesil Motor Company right up to 2019 when it was sold to Westfield Sportscars who are just starting to reproduce the model. This lovely example is a Tygan built car which is based on a 1972 registered VW Beetle and it is finished in the highly desirable colour combination of Porsche GT Silver Metallic with a BMW Montana Red Leather interior, Black Mohair Soft Top, a 90bhp 1800cc Engine and high ratio 4 speed VW Gearbox plus Disc Brakes all around. The car is registered as a Tygan Sports and it has only covered 5, 350 Miles since being built. A video will follow upon completion of our showroom preparation + additional information. Upon sale, the car will come with our own standard 6 months Mechanical Breakdown Parts & Labour Warranty. Car on display at our showrooms in Mortlake, SW London.
