We are very pleased to offer a very original 1989 Austin Mini Mayfair. Finished in metallic Atlantis blue with Nimbus grey wheel arches, mirrors, handles and grille. This is a rare and subtle Mini colour that really suits the shape and is enhanced with a sexy set of Minilite wheels and wider profile tyres. If you are after a wonderfully preserved Mini that is virtually as it left the factory then this could be the one for you. Registered new by Clarkes Garage in Leicester it has only covered a very low 24 thousand miles in 36 years with just three previous owners. It is accompanied with all of its original handbooks, service book and a raft of service receipts.
On the road it is an absolute pleasure to drive and still has that taught new feeling that is very hard to create. The 998 engine is virtually silent and the gearbox is precise. Performance is fantastic and it easily keeps up with modern traffic and thanks to wider tyres the handling is fantastic. This model also has servo operated disc brakes so you can push round the twisty stuff with absolute confidence. The original Classic Mini experience is on offer here with out modification and it is all the better for it.
The interior is very well presented and again completely original. The full eighties theme is on offer here, grey velour trim, three clock dash with a rev counter, Rover radio cassette player with Philips 411 shelf speakers that I have not seen for a long time. All of the glass has its original etchings, the carpets and roof liner are again virtually unmarked. This model also has rear seat belts and a factory fitted sunroof, a real bonus on a sunny day.
The Mini has a very well preserved body shell and appears to be untouched, it has all of its original panels, body coloured floor pans, untouched boot floor and its original vented sills. The paintwork gleams and belies its vintage and is virtually blemish free. This is a quality example that will makes its new owner very proud indeed.
The Mini is fully serviced, checked and driven and it has a full long MOT so it ready for the open road.
