1952 Morgan Plus 4 Drop Head Coupe or ( DHC )
A very rare car indeed , only 450 or so produced from a long production run from 1950 - 1968
This is one of the earlier Flat rad cars
Charles Morgan himself favoured one as a daily driver for a time . The DHC was Morgans offering of luxury rather than aimed at the sporting market which the roadster excelled . Higher purchase costs in production ensured limited numbers making them one of the rarest morgans available today
This particular example has been subject of an older restoration and is still in superb overall condition having recently undergone a full service and brake overhaul .
The Dark red paintwork suits the car well with period steel wheels and chrome hubcaps .
The chassis and bodywork are in very good order as to be expected for a low mileage garage stored classic
The 2086cc inline 4 Standard Vanguard derived engine starts easily and does everything it should to provide a brisk and sporting drive
The red leather is original and mellowed and just perfect , the veneered dash and sporting dials are also original
Supplied with a large history folder containing numerous bills and receipts dating from 1982 to present day for parts purchased and works carried out .
I have road tested for a good handful of miles and this wonderful car is ready for its next adventure
