The Honda CBR500R and its siblings, the fairing free CB500F and adventure bike styled CB500X were launched in 2013 to take advantage of the then new A2 license regulations. This limits output to 47bhp and top speed to 112mph. ‘YA63KGG’ represents the sports tourer of the trio with a bright sporting livery and a fully faired in presentation. The current owner acquired ‘YA63KGG’ in September 2023 to become its seventh keeper and covering around 2, 000 miles in his tenure to bring the total to a shade over 10, 000 miles. ‘YA63KGG’s advisory free MOT expired in February 2025 so a retest will be required before road use.
