Classic Car Design brings you this 1971 Volkswagen T2A Bay Window Combi. As you know, the Combi 'camper' is much more than just a vehicle, it's a true automotive icon. Originating in California, this fully-equipped model was imported into the UK in 2009 and then into France in 2020, where it is registered as a 5-seater VASP. With a full file of invoices since 2009 and all the MOT and CT tests up to date, you can be sure that it will be well looked after. On the outside, this T2A was repainted in white a few years ago. The paintwork is very shiny and looks very good, even if there are a few slight defects. It retains its vintage look with its original rims and height, while guaranteeing a comfortable ride. The roof tilts easily and the hinges are new. The canvas is in decent condition and takes us back to the 70s with its little fringes! The interior of this Volkswagen T2A has been completely refurbished at a cost of over £4, 000. The storage furniture, removable and sliding table, sink, gas hob, cool box and electrical system (with a second battery) have all been replaced. The dashboard is well preserved, while the seats and floor mats are in excellent condition. Mechanically, the engine, suspension and brakes have benefited from a number of recent upgrades.
