Here we have for sale a stunning Ducati 748 Biposto that has arrived by way of part exchange. This 2003 UK bike is in exceptional condition and a credit to its previous owners who have fitted numerous upgrades including, polished Termignoni exhaust, 5 spoke Marchesini wheels, Monoposto seat unit, upgraded "R" headstock, clutch, rear sets, Carbon hugger and front mudguard, original Ducati Corse carbon mirrors, carbon air tubes, dash, inner fairing, tank/ key guard, exhaust guards, heel guards and frame protection.
The bike is supplied with 2 keys, the original handbook and a host of old paperwork including various service receipts, MOT's and old tax discs. The bikes service history shows the last service (inc belts) carried out in June 2024 at 8, 626 miles. The bike will receive a full service and independent MOT prior to sale.
The Ducati 748 is identical in almost every way to the 916, both creations of Ducati in-house designer Massimo Tamburini. The only differences are rear tyre size and engine capacity with the engine's shorter piston stroke giving a higher rev ceiling of 11500 RPM, and the smaller pistons help the engine accelerate more quickly. Ducati produced several variations of the 748, starting with the 748 Biposto (meaning "two seat") in 1994 and then the 1995–96 748SP and 1996–99 748SPS followed as more powerful options.
