For sale on behalf of local client due to exceptional circumstances.
This is a Tribute Automotive kit I believe & built by Nubodi Automotive of Berkshire in January 2017 for our client.
It is a 250 GTO SWB convertible REPLICA, not I am told a kit car as it is a BMW underneath!
The donor car is a 1999 BMW Z3, with 105, 468 miles showing & paperwork. It has 8 past owners noted. This particular example was chosen as the donor car due to it being a 2. 8L manual box, which I am told by specialists is the most desirable example & does sound fantastic.
Our client spent over £23K on the project including the donor car & the spreadsheet of costs comes with the car. So in effect this vehicle represents exceptional value for money.
The vehicle is correctly registered with the DVLA (along with the fantastic R25 OGT number plate) as a Kalifornia 250. The vehicle comes with the V5C & associated build invoices etc along with the donor car paperwork.
The car comes with 4No copy Dunlop style spare wheels with tyres fitted.
The panel gaps look very good for a replica, the fit & finish good & the paintwork also good. Obviously it won’t be as good as a Z3 straight from Munich, but a very good standard for a replica car in my opinion.
The interior has been expertly retrimmed in premium leather to match the colour of the convertible roof which also looks new.
The vehicle wears lovely chrome wire wheels with what look like as new matching tyres.
The vehicle also has the Nardi type steering wheel, which looks fantastic.
Beautiful 4 bore exhaust system, I presume made for this vehicle.
2 sets of keys.
The vehicle has not been used since its last MOT on 14th July 2022, but has been dry garage stored & covered.
The 14th July 2022 MOT had 6 advisories which will still be applicable:
• Supplementary restraint system warning lamp does not illuminate (7. 1. 6 (a))
• Nearside Rear Fuel Pipe/ s corroded
• Nearside Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1. 1. 11 (c))
• Nearside Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement Rear bush slightly worn (5. 3. 4 (a) (i))
• Offside Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement Rear bush slightly worn (5. 3. 4 (a) (i))
So the vehicle will need a new MOT, the advisories dealt with should you wish, a service & a new battery, as this will not hold a charge.
I started the vehicle with a booster pack & drove it out of the garage for the pictures to be taken & it started first time. All the dash lights came on & then went off as they should. The car sounded & felt fine & went through the gears just fine. I have not driven it on the open road.
I did not test the electrics / lights etc & couldn’t find the electric window switches, so just be aware!
The car is not ULEZ compliant & as has no MOT or Road Tax so will need to be trailered away or driven on trade plates once the new battery is fitted.
