We are very pleased to offer an original spec 1989 Austin Mini City E Auto. Finished in Diamond white with lime green City decals. This fantastic Mini has been known by us for four years and it has always been cared for and maintained thoroughly. It had a long term lady owner and has only had two previous owners It is accompanied with all of its original handbooks, service book and a raft of service history including its original bill of sale from Mann Egerton in 1989. It still proudly wears its supplying dealer number plate.
I am a big fan of Automatic Minis, the gearbox design was very advanced for its time so consequently they are well suited to modern day traffic. I have driven this Mini at length including Motorways and it happily cruises all day. The Gearbox is super smooth and it changes up and down effortlessly making it a real pleasure to drive. Four new tyres mean the handling is excellent and the full Go-Kart experience is on offer. Simply select Drive and away you go, its difficult not to smile as its such an easy and fun Classic to drive. This model also has servo operated disc brakes so it stops as well as it goes.
This Mini has a wonderfully preserved interior and is still presented in its original City E factory spec, it has its original Flint grey seats, carpets and roof liner, a sure sign of a cared for life. It has recently benefitted from a JVC CD player with USB and Aux and this model has rear seat belts.
This City has a very solid shell and in 2021 it received a comprehensive body refurb which included a complete respray, all new chrome work and decals. It has all of its original floor pans and boot floor. The rear subframe is also in excellent condition. This is a great looking Mini with fantastic paintwork and personally I like the original look but it also offers its new owner a blank canvas if they wished to add wheels and lights to personalise it all of which we can assist with.
The Mini is fully serviced, checked and driven and it has a full no advisory MOT so it ready for the open road.
