This one has recently emerged from a very comprehensive chassis, body, interior and mechanical refurbishment by Tamar Country Cars, and it has been completed to a superb standard
On the outside, it’s fitted with Bowler-style front bumper with daylight running lights, LED lights all rouind, KBX light surrounds and grilles, Wolf wheels shod with a set of new INSA turbo tyres, light bar, billet doorhandles, XS sidesteps, mudflaps all round, and adjustable towpack.
On the inside, it’s been fully retrimmed with carpeting, black alcantara headlining, a pair of BBS bucket seats, high rise cubby box, sports steering wheel, billet aluiminium door furniture, gearknobs, seat box protectors and door threshers. Also fitted with a Pioneer stereo.
In the back, it has a new hood, covering a heavy-duty bar set, and twin bench seats with seatbelts.
Over six months in 2024, the vehicle underwent a comprehensive programme of mechanical and cosmetic restoration and enhancement, turning it into the stunning vehicle that we have today. From the outset, the original chassis was cleaned, shot blasted, and where required, comprehensive welding was carried out to ensure structural integrity. It was then treated with anti-rust paint before coats of Dinitrol were applied, future proofing the underside of the vehicle for years to come. The body panels were stripped, sanded, and where required repaired. New Puma doors were sourced, two coats of primer were applied before the bodywork was professionally repainted in Nardo Grey.
The TD5 engine and all the running gear underwent a full inspection and comprehensive overhaul, and where required, parts were replaced with the highest quality products.
No chequerplate rash whatsoever, and a simply stunning Defender.

On test on arrival it performed superbly, as you’d expect from one that has been stripped and rebuilt.
