1935 ROLLS ROYCE20/ 25 Hooper Limousine
Chassis Number: GYH51
Registraton Number: CS2355
This impressive Rolls-Royce was purchased and owned by Robert Jack Dunlop of Thomas Dunlop and Sons who were a Scottish shipping company and grain merchant and he was the son of Sir Thomas Dunlop. The car, for a considerable portion of its life was on his Scottish Estate of Barkskimming.
This 20/ 25 is presented in black with maroon over a maroon leather interior. This impressive looking Rolls-Royce with a body by one of the most famous coachwork companies of that era, Hooper has benefitted from both a respray and mechanical work in the past few years which includes work to the 4300CC engine fitted to this example (work which has been recently finished resulting in it running extremely well with excellent oil pressure & cool water temperature. The interior is also in good condition with a lovely patina to the upholstery. Coming with a history file containing various invoices and a V5C registration document, this MoT test exempt car is a wonderful example of a vintage Rolls-Royce.
The car starts very esily & runs very very well with a nice quiet engine. It is a full 7 seat car having occasional fold out seats located in the rear bulkhead. There is a tool drawer in typical Hooper fashion under the drivers seat containg a whell spanner & assorted modern tools.
To sum up: A great entry level Rolls Royce that is enthusiast owned & ready for immediate use. A brand new clutch has just been fitted allowing for worry free motoring & ownership.
