Jeep Ford Jeep Ford, assembled in the Dallas work plant on 24 April 1945.
The original US army number was 20733069. pre 1949, its British number was M5834701.
Finally registered as 72 YJ 22, until it was sold on 30 April 1966.
Used by the Military Police of the Aldershot District (the emblem depicts two search beams across the top of the badge with a yellow torch on the bottom).
Painted in bronze green, the picture was therefore taken after 1955.
Repainted using the WW2 paint and sigles over the original bronze green. Interestingly you can see the bare metal, then the red primer, then the original WW2 olive drab and the bronze green. And still some white paint on the bumper, etc...
All the accessories are present, grease pump, jack, fuel and jerrycan gauges, doors and sides
