This beautiful Lotus Elise Sport 220 Heritage Edition is one of just 100 Limited Edition models inspired by classic Lotus F1 cars and their liveries. The Heritage Edition offered a huge number of factory optional extras within the base price making these incredibly high specification cars. Furthermore, bespoke interior trim themes add a further unique touch to these limited models.
The standard optional extras included an alcantara interior pack, alcantara steering wheel, unique exterior livery and heritage paintwork, forged lightweight wheels, contrast stitching, air conditioning, interior colour pack, premium speaker system, floor mats, floor carpets, single DIN Bluetooth radio and cruise control.
Crowned Evo sports car of the year in 2017 the Sport 220 is a superb driver-focused machine. The 1. 8-litre supercharged engine produces plenty of power throughout the rev range, the car is capable of 145MPH and 0-60 in just 4. 2 seconds. The new open gate gear lever adds a further sense of occasion to an already unique car, the re-engineered central exhaust and race-inspired, but functional, rear diffuser remind you that the Sport 220 is a seriously capable well, planted car. The Lotus Dynamic Performance Management system allows the driver to switch between modes depending on driving style and personal preference. Features of the body of the car have been designed in such a way so as to maximise downforce. Combine this with double wishbone suspension on all four corners and it's no surprise the car handles so well.
This particular Heritage Edition is finished in one of the most recognisable Lotus colours, Essex Blue (A34). This edition pays homage to the 1980 Lotus Type 81 Formula 1 car, as driven by Nigel Mansell and Mario Andretti for the 1980 Formula 1 season. This main body colour is complimented by a prominent red stripe, flanked by two smaller silver chrome stripes on each side, running across the rear quarters of the car. The interior is finished a bold, but not overpowering blue alcantara and black leather combination, with a blue contrast stitch. The theme of the exterior is continued with a three colour way interior colour pack, comprising of a red gear shift surround, Essex Blue window switch bezels and heater control bezel and gloss black seat belt bezels. The lightweight forged wheels have been optioned in satin black with a diamond cut lip, complimenting the chrome of the livery.
In addition to the hard top as seen on the car, the vehicle also features its soft top, complete with carry case for storage when not in use. The front bumper and rear sills are protected with PPF.
First registered in October 2020 upon sale to its one and only owner, this 220 Heritage Edition has just covered just 7, 350 miles, having been cared for meticulously throughout. The condition of the vehicle reflects this and presents in spectacular condition. With a full and complete service history having been carried out by Lotus main dealer, and most recently by ourselves in October 2024, the car also features a perfect MOT history, with no advisories whatsoever. The car will also be supplied with the very suitable private registration plate of ‘L20 ESX’.
This Lotus has been fully inspected by our in-house technicians, and wants for nothing. As such, it is ready to go straight to its next custodian. A 12-month comprehensive warranty shall be supplied with the vehicle upon sale, as well as a complimentary one-year membership to the Lotus Drivers Club.
