1990 Jaguar XJS V12 H. E Coupe
Artic Blue - 88000 Miles
A Stunning Jag
First registered 14. 03. 1989 by Lancaster Jaguar Sevenoaks, Kent and still wearing its
original supplied dealer plates. This one of the later pre facelifted V12 cars and arguably
all the better for it, given they are thinning out in numbers rapidly. Specified in the
striking combination of Artic Blue, cream leather and Walnut veneer fascia.
Originality
Never been recorded in any accident with no other adverse history in her past.
Climbing aboard, it’s obvious it’s been dry stored, the leather has never had any repairs
or dying, note the standard factory fitted stereo.
The carpets are bone dry with no evidence of damp. The headlining has been properly replaced
recently and looks superb. There are no annoying alarms or security devices, key in, go.
All five tyres are the correct Pirellis with the full-size spare. All tools are complete
in carpet bag. The Lucas front fog lamps look great and we still have the branded lens covers.
Most recent test has an error, in that there is no crack in the headlamp, this was an input error
by the tester that cannot be removed. All road springs are in good condition despite mentioning
of corrosion, with no cracks or splits. The play in the steering rack was minimal and has since been
sorted by adjusting the pre load between the pinion & the rack itself. The slight weep from gearbox
which was cleaned up with a new gasket being fitted and it does not leak, looked to be historic sweating.
Explore The Charm of Jaguars Iconic V12
The genre defining luxury grand tourer that requires no introduction, a British GT of
unique style and character, and for those who adore them still one of the world’s greatest
cars, very few vehicles have a sense of arrival as Browns lane finest.
It’s not just style it oozes, compared to modern day GTs the XJ-S ride is as comfortable
as your favourite easy chair, almost unequalled. The XJ-S is now a fixture on the classic
scene though finding a good one can take time, however if you stumble upon it, grab it,
and you’ll have an extraordinary machine that will oblige you with long distance refinement
and silky performance. As should be evident from the many images this is a well preserved
original car with a very good story, its also fantastic value for money as cannot see it
ever being worth less. The longest serving Jaguar of them all, still serving.
