Description
Presenting this 1976 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow I Long Wheel Base - A very rare specification
- The 29th from last LWB Silver Shadow I -
- Highly desirable factory specification -
This very late production LWB car was first registered on 18th November 1976, for the UK home market. Unusual as most LWB motor cars were destined for the lucrative export market.
She was factory optioned in Moorland Green metallic (9510370) with a Black Everflex roof. For the sumptuous cabin, Green Connolly hide to the front & Dark Green 'Parkertex' velour to the rear was chosen with an electric division. Parkertex velour was a very expensive cost option & viewed as an even higher luxury above Connolly hides. Certainly very cosy & comfortable. Overall the hide & Parkertex upholstery are in excellent original condition throughout
This 'R' registered example has come to us from a deceased estate, the gentleman being a very private collector who had amassed a wonderful & eclectic selection of British classics. Purchased in 2023 just prior to his passing & subsequently being stored away since. The previous keeper had owned her for 14 years ('08-'22), covering a mere 600 miles in that time, although it was MoT tested on twelve occasions! Thankfully, all custodians have clearly valued the overall originality & just persevered her patina. Presenting well with blemishes commensurate with age. We would personally carry out a full detailing & recommission only - far too many Silver Shadows are now 'over restored'!
Mechanically, the engine starts with ease, runs & drives although it will require recommissioning before road use as a sensible precaution.
A wonderful survivor, ripe for recommissioning. Historic road tax & ULEZ exempt.
