This BMW has been in our family for 15 years. It's proved to be an excellent every day car, especially considering how economical it's extremely smooth Straight 6 is, even though its fast approaching 30 years old, it doesn't feel like an old car to drive, this is when BMW's build quality was second to none, almost over engineered in places, they're real drivers cars. We've also used it as a tow car to transport our race cars up and down the country to various race circuits.
On the inside, retro-fitted and highly sought after Grey Sport Leather Sport seats with Dark Maple Wood accenting with the addition of Cruise Control having also been retro fitted. The Specification includes: an original period correct BMW Business RDS Cassette Stereo with 6 CD Disc Changer, a tilt and slide sunroof and dual zone climate control.
In 2021, the BMW received an extensive recommission by ourselves at Lavant Straight Classics, having been off the road SORN’d at the beginning of 2012. The Diesel fuel injection system was completely overhauled by Powerdrive in Portsmouth. The braking system was fully overhauled with all the original brake calipers being rebuilt, discs, pads being replaced, handbrake shoes and brake flexi hoses replaced. The DMF, Clutch, Clutch Master & Slave Cylinders were replaced. The gearbox and diff oils were renewed. The ignition barrel was rebuilt, the wiper motor was replaced, these are known problematic areas on this age of BMW. Also changed were general service items, water pump, thermostat, auxiliary belt, idler pulleys and tensioners and the engine serviced consecutively in the years which followed its recommissioning.
Front and Rear Suspension fully overhauled using OE quality parts. Eibach Pro Lowering Springs fitted. EGR Professionally Bypassed. ECU Chipped. Replica AC Schnitzer 17” Alloys Professionally Refurbished with New 235/ 45/ 17 Tyres. New Top Tint Windscreen fitted in 2025
