Description
Mr Darcy's are offering for sale, something a little special. This Rolls Royce is exceptional, and as an owner myself of a collection of Bentleys and Rolls Royce, I have not seen one in this condition for a long time. It is a Silver Shadow in Athenian Blue, which was supplied originally to Tayto Crisps (IRL) (Joe Murphy), who subsequently sold it in 1979 to Violette Lawlor of Osberstown house, who kept it for 32 years. It was purchased in 2012 by its last owner, and has been maintained to a very high standard. This car would be well known amongst the classic car community in Ireland, and was featured in the newspapers and magazines on a number of occasions. An original Irish registered Rolls Royce that would be nice to remain in Ireland due to its provenance, and history, but its being sold on behalf of the estate of former keeper. In terms of its condition, it is faultless. I personally went through the car from top to bottom, and can not find anything that needs to be done. It has 62200 genuine miles, and was always kept indoors. It has its original brown logbook which has the names of the 3 owners from new. As a lover of these cars, I suppose I am a little star struck, but trust me when I say, that this one ticks all the boxes. New lambs wool carpets fitted recently. The woodwork is perfect. The engine bay is like new, and the leather interior has some slight patena, which adds to its authenticity. There are a good selection of photos on our site - details above, but don't hesitate to call us for more information.
