1975 Triumph Bonneville T140V
No Reserve
Registration No: MYD 864P
Frame No: XN65673
MOT: Exempt
Part of a large collection of motorcycles and purchased by the late vendor in 2007
A very low mileage machine for its age
Offered with a current V5C and with some receipts on file for work in 2007
The second-generation T140 Bonneville is a very appealing bike to own, being typically cheaper than the T120 and benefitting from some desirable upgrades, such as an extra 100cc of displacement, a front disc brake and an additional gear in the transmission. These were Triumph’s way of combatting the onslaught of advances from Japan. However, Triumph was arguably a bigger obstacle to their own success than Honda, Suzuki, et al., as workers at the Meriden factory held a 'sit-in' to protest the announced closure of their plant.
This 1975 Triumph T140V has been in the late vendor's collection of motorcycles since 2007. It has been started from time to time and ridden around a yard. The Triumph is in mostly original condition and shows just over 3, 000 miles from new, although this cannot be verified, an old MOT certificate from 2008 shows just over 3, 100 miles. The Triumph is offered with a V5C and some receipts for work being carried out in 2007. Some general recommissioning will be required before use. To be sold without reserve.
