This DB7 Vantage is rather special and has been carefully maintained and subtly upgraded over the course of its life. With the larger optional wheels, the sporting Touchtronic gearbox and having just been serviced by Aston Martin specialist Chicane, this is a great opportunity to purchase a real sports car at a very reasonable price.
The DB7 gained supercar status with the V12, the first in AML’s production history. With Ian Callum updating the DB7 i6’s svelte body to give it a more muscular look, new suspension all round and that glorious V12 pushing out 420bhp, this was an altogether different car.
- The Car -
First registered in January 2001 and sold through main agent PJ Evans of Birmingham, this DB7 Vantage was ordered in the striking colour combination of Stornoway Silver with an Ivory and Charcoal leather interior. Amongst the options originally fit from new, this included the Touchtronic semi-automatic gearbox for greater driving enhancement. The last owner, a long standing and well known AMOC member, took the car on in 2009 and proceeded to have certain upgrades fitted. This included a bespoke steering wheel, a wooden gear knob, 19” factory optional wheels and in 2018, a full ‘Larini’ sports exhaust system was added.
The 19” alloy wheels certainly give the car a much greater stance and more muscular look and the glorious sound from the V12 is now like no other DB7 Vantage. If the car hasn’t already turned heads, the exhaust note will.
With only 4 owners since new and with a current mileage of 47, 185, this DB7 Vantage is certainly great value and ready for the approaching Spring driving and motoring events season.
- Its History -
The servicing of this DB7 Vantage was first undertaken by the selling agent, PJ Evans of Birmingham, then by Paramount of Cardiff and then finally by Grange of Exeter. The car was then sold to the last owner through Runnymede Motor Company in October 2009.
Since then and to the present day, all servicing and maintenance, including the Larini exhaust, has been undertaken by Aston Martin specialist Chicane in Hampshire, which has just included a new fuel pump. The current MOT is valid until the 4th of September 2025 and the car comes with a set of spare keys.
