Renowned for its unwavering commitment to quality, Packard stood as an indisputable symbol of excellence among American automobile brands in the pre-war era. Many consider Packard’s Super Eight and Twelve models of the mid- to late-1930s to be the finest automobiles produced by the legendary automaker. Styling and engineering steadily evolved during this period, with streamlined “envelope” styling introduced for 1935, and 1937 bringing such advancements as Packard’s first independent front suspension, a modern system that utilized wishbones and coil springs, and hydraulic brakes – both boons to drivability. With reasonably light steering, a supple ride, and improved road-holding and stopping power over their predecessors, these were and remain exceptional automobiles to drive.
The incredibly original 1937 Packard Series 1501 Super Eight Club Sedan featured here is finished in its striking factory combination of Black over a Tan broadcloth-lined interior. This exquisite motorcar has been beautifully maintained across a known line of caretakers since new and is now ready to be shown or driven. With so few of these cars remaining in this exceptionally original condition, this is the perfect example for any premier collection. This iconic Packard is offered to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best at an investment price!
