This rare and very usable Morgan cuts quite a look with its white / cream exterior, wire wheels and tan interior. The beauty of the 4/ 4 version over and above a 2 seater version is the extra space in the rear – ideal for a dog or small children, or indeed as a space for extra luggage or camping equipment for those weekends away !
The car comes with lots of history including a lovely letter from one of the long term owners of the Morgan (17 years) to the new owner outlining what he knows about the car, the history, and how to get the best out of the car.
It appears the speedo was changed at 51k miles (date unknown but believed to be the early to mid 90s – undated letter on file) and the mileage is now showing at 14k miles – so it is safe to assume the car has travelled circa 65k miles from new. The condition of the car would appear to bear this out as well as the Morgan has a lovely patina about it. The weather gear appears in good condition. Given the age of the car, and the mileage, you would expect some signs of wear and tear but the overall look is very attractive. Chromework is good and the there is the added benefit of a chrome rear luggage rack.
In addition to the recent expenditure stated above, £887. 70 was also spent on new tyres in 2023 (Michelins).
The Morgan is now tax and MOT exempt given its age, although it did have an MOT until June 2024. It has covered less than 1000 miles since the granting of the last MOT.
The car starts with a few pumps of the accelerator (the manual choke would appear not to be working) and the car sounds good – the cash spent on the new exhaust was money well spent !!
Overall we would say this is a car to use and improve if you wish over time, and as a consequence it is priced very competitively in the current market.
