Volvo 850 R Estate 1996 offered for sale, in Charcoal Grey. The current mileage stands at 172, 414, the car has been regularly serviced and MOT'd.
The vehicle is in overall good condition, with some age related patination as one would expect. The Pegasus alloys could perhaps do with stripping and powder coating due to some scratching and oxidation. The tailgate has a couple of small rust areas, (see pics).
The vendor has carried out general maintenance and some light modifications over the years. The brakes were upgraded when the vendor first got the car to police spec with larger ventilated discs and larger calipers (subsequently rebuilt a couple of years ago with new pistons, seals and sliders). The vendor has just replaced the front shocks and springs along with top strut mounts and a full balancing and alignment undertaken all round.
The vehicle had a new battery last year and the oil lines were replaced at the same time. All of the cooling hoses have been replaced, along with the radiator and the AirCon pump and condenser were replaced at around the same time plus regassing. The cambelt, water pump and pulleys were replaced in 2022.
The interior has worn well over the years (heated seat mechanism recalled in 2021) with no rips, but certainly isn't like new, (see pics). The vehicle retains the original head unit and multi CD changer in the boot, including the factory fitted Bose speaker system. The vendor has modified the exhaust rear section to become dual pipes, in stainless steel, but this can easily be brought back to original if required. The vendor has tried to use genuine Volvo parts wherever possible.
