Description
Special X was Lambretta's attempt to offer a model with more of a quality look that the ones that they had previously been known for. The models slogan was 'SX Appeal' and came in two variants SX150 and SX200 replacing the Li Special 150 and TV200.
This 1970 Lambretta was first registered in Exeter on the 2nd September 1970. According to the frame number it would have started life as a Li150 to later be restored to SX specification which includes the correct SX200 engine and gearbox.
In recent years the scooter has had huge amount of restoration work carried out, which can be seen in the pictures, and it starts and runs well. Finished in a striking green colour, the paintwork and chrome are in good order and the correct SX badges have been fitted. It also comes with a factory style tool kit as well as two new tyres.
The Special X presents well and is a good opportunity for a new owner to customise if they chose to - like most classics, it needs to be ridden and enjoyed.
The current V5 is present.
