Very Solid little MG Midget we picked up last week. Has been stored for a few years and not been used so will recommissioned. It does start and run and we have drove it round the yard. We have the V5 showing 3 previous owners. a lot of old MOTs and receipts. It appears the car was restored in the late 90s.
Body - Very solid underneath. No real signs of any major rot. Body is quite straight but paint has micro blisters on boot lid and drivers door. Bumpers are good as is the grille and lights. Car is fitted with a hardtop and there is a soft top inside but we have not had it fitted.
Mechanics - Engine does start. The fuel pump is a bit temperamental and will need looking at. The engine itself sounds OK with no nasty smoke or rattles. The gearbox and clutch are ok. Brakes are non existent but handbrake works. Will need a full service and recommission.
Interior - Black seats with white piping and matching doorcards. seats are in good order. Dashboard is ok. Carpets are good.
Wheels - Original steels with white pinstripe tyres. These are probably getting old and will need changed.
Overall a pretty solid old car which with a bit tlc will make a really nice early example. You are welcome to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote
