EXTERIOR
A beautiful low mileage right-hand drive 911 in original Tangerine, and a very usable example having been restored some years ago. The deep orange hue looks fabulous alongside the polished brightwork and Fuchs wheels, and on closer inspection the panel gaps are also very good. There is an excellent depth of shine to the body, the glass is unmarked, and all the window rubbers are excellent; gold lettering at the rear is the final flourish. Ready to be driven and enjoyed this summer, a very stylish ‘70s 911 with just the right level of patina.
INTERIOR
In keeping with the low mileage, the black basketweave seats present in fantastic condition with no rips or damage. The thin-rimmed steering wheel is also excellent and original with only light surface wear to the black leather finish. Unmarked basketweave trim extends onto the door cards and across the dash where all the switchgear still feels reassuringly solid to operate. The carpets are spotless and a period-correct Blaupunkt head unit remains in place.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Subtly uprated with a performance camshaft, the original 2. 2-litre flat six makes for an engaging and thrilling drive. The engine is a free-revving little number and the 5-speed manual gearbox also performs well with no issues. Beneath the rear lid the engine bay is well presented with no signs of any accident damage or previous poor repair. Since 2012 the car has been looked after by Riverside Performance Engineering and the last service was carried out in May 2024 at 63, 093 miles.
HISTORY FILE
Reading through the accompanying history file it’s clear this 1970 911E has been a much loved and cared for example. There is a good amount of paperwork dating back to the early ‘70s including a raft of invoices and plenty of old MOT certificates to further verify the low mileage. The current owner purchased the car back in 2014 and when not in use it has been properly stored in a professional de-humidified facility to preserve its excellent condition. It has been maintained by Riverside Performance Engineering since 2012 and even competed in the 2019 Icelandic Saga rally covering an impressive 1, 200 miles in 7 days. This rare RHD 911 is now offered for sale for the first time in 11 years, recently serviced and freshly inspected by our trusted Porsche specialist.
